The Scottish poet laureate’s, Robert Burns, actual birthday is January 25th and cause for national celebration! There will be a bagpiper at the beginning who will also “pipe in the Haggis’ (a traditional ceremony of ‘respect’) when Burns’s famous ‘Address to the Haggis’ is read. There will be much joviality, bawdy jokes (Robbie frequented taverns and knew how to enjoy himself and entertain his friends) and good cheer.
